In today’s F1, the pit stop stationary time is published on the DHL official website, and the pit lane passing time is also recorded and published on the F1 official website.
DHL official pit stop stationary time
Therefore, on this site, we will calculate
(Pit lane passing time) – (Stationary time)
and try to quantify the performance of the drivers’ stops and starts in the pit boxes. I define this time as “box performance” on this site.
The box performance of the Dutch GP was as follows. Also, since there were a lot of pit stops this time, we omitted the lower ranks.
Table 1 Box performance

The dry surface saw Hamilton, Perez, Hulkenberg and others who are good at this genre gather. On the other hand, considering that the road conditions also changed greatly in the pit lane, the times of Tsunoda and Sainz in the wet surface at the beginning of the race, and Perez at lap 60 (he did speed up, though) were quite valuable. It can be considered that Tsunoda’s stop at lap 10 was the most impressive performance in the whole race, and it confirmed again the good performance of his box performance this year.
